During the second use the brush drive shaft key slipped and ground the drive shaft down before the Shear pin on the other side of the coupler broke. I ended up having to replace the gear box for the brush drive. This machine is very durable and reliable. I have used it 72 times for a total of 28 hours, which doesn't sound like a lot, however it works in the worst weather and conditions you can imagine. I am 66 years old and have no problem clearing 10&quot; of snow and ice. I purchased this machine, since I have a heart condition and cannot shovel snow, under doctors orders. This machine has a power starter on it, however I use the manual pull method and it starts with just one pull. Great machine and I am the envy of my neighbours, who are out there with their shovels, slaving away, when I have walk ways that are completely clean. It had thick slush and some ice on it. The brush powered away the slush and ice and left a completely clean surface.
