contacted the product supplier and have been advised by them of the following: you will need to complete air monitoring to determine what your exposure levels are. 3M advises that an organic vapor cartridge can be used as long as you do not exceed 10 times the occupational exposure limit (OEL) set by OSHA. In this case the OEL is 500 ppm for a time weighted average. In order to use the respirator and cartridge you also need to ensure you are in an environment where there is sufficient oxygen. If you exceed the OEL or are not in an environment where there is sufficient oxygen you will need to use a supplied air respirator.
